El primer largometraje producido en la franja de Gaza es la historia de una familia palestina que vive en un campo de refugiados en 1993, justo antes de que comiencen las negociaciones de paz. Al principio de la película, el ejército israelí anuncia un toque de queda hasta nueva orden. La familia de Abu Raji acaba de recibir una carta de un hijo que estudia en Alemania cuando las noticias irrumpen. Las calles están vacías, las puertas candadas, las tiendas cerradas. Pero incluso en tan extrañas circunstancias, el drama familiar continúa como siempre. La historia captura veinticuatro horas en la vida de un hogar que representa el drama de un pueblo que ya dura décadas.

The first-ever Palestinian feature film from the Gaza Strip, CURFEW is the story of a Palestinian family living in a refugee camp in the year 1993, just before the peace negotiations started. At the start of the film, the Israeli army announces a curfew which will last until further notice. Abu Raji’s family has just received a letter from one son studying in Germany when they are interrupted by the news. Streets empty, doors shut, and stores close. But even in such strange times, family drama continues just like always. The story captures 24 hours within the life of one household, representing the drama of a people that has lasted for decades.
