Cinco monjas de Cisjordania ven interrumpida su rutina de silencio diaria cuando una familia judía llama a su puerta pidiendo ayuda.
“Las monjas que aparecen en la película llevan una vida de silencio bajo la ocupación militar israelí de Cisjordania así como una vida de silencio y soledad religiosa. Por otra parte, tenemos unos colonos israelíes, que representan una de las razones que hay detrás de esa ocupación militar, pero que a su vez también están “ocupados” por sus fuertes creencias religiosas y sus reglas. Quería resaltar la mutua desconfianza que existe entre estos dos grupos, así como una eventual cooperación y las lecciones aprendidas de tal aventura, así con ello mostrar que es posible que las personas dejen a un lado sus diferencias por una meta común” Basil Khalil.

Five nuns in the West Bank have their daily routine of silence disrupted when a Jewish family comes knocking at their door for help.
“The nuns you see in the film live a life of silence under the Israeli military occupation of the West Bank, as well as a life of religious silence and solitude. On the other hand we have the Israeli settlers, who represent one of the reasons behind this military occupation, yet they are also “occupied” by their strong religious beliefs and rules. I wanted to highlight the mutural mistrust that these two groups have for one other, as well as their eventual cooperation and the lessons learned from this adventure, and to show that it is posible for people to put aside their differences in the name of a common goal” Basil Khalil.
