Cuenta las vidas de dos mujeres palestinas: Farah Hatoum, viuda que vive con sus hijos y nietos, y Sahar Khalifeh, novelista cisjordana. Khleifi observa a las dos mujeres de cerca en su día a día y trae a un primer plano el contraste de sus personalidades. Las diferencias en sus opiniones y vidas subrayan su estatus compartido, como palestinas bajo el gobierno israelí y como mujeres bajo una sociedad dominada por el hombre. A pesar de estos contrastes, tanto la madre como la intelectual comparten la misma lucha de libertad y dignidad. This film relates the lives of two Palestinian women: Farah Hatoum, a widow living with her children and grandchildren, and Sahar Khalifeh, West Bank novelist. Khleifi watches closely the two women in their daily life and brings to the forefront the contrast of their personalities. The differences in their opinions and lives underscore their shared status as Palestinians women under Israeli rules, and as women in a male-dominated society. Despite these contrasts, both mother and intellectual woman share the same freedom struggle and dignity.
